Yes, unfortunately, it's true. We're back in the hospital. CJ was admitted to 7 West this morning with an infection. We expect that he will remain here a couple of days, depending on how quickly he reacts to the antibiotics.
The doctors are being very cautious with this infection because CJ's ANC is below 500 so his body has very little ability to fight off infection on its own.
We will keep the blog updated as more information is available.
As far as his hair. Not all kids completely lose it in the beginning. ViviAnne and about 5 other boys I know just lost it to the point of some bald spots but really it just thinned out. The complete loss of hair did not come until later into treatment.
ReplyDeleteOH that guy on Sex and the City that is completely bald....well he is a Cancer survivor, Lymphoma, and his hair never grew back from his radiation treatments. Maybe if you show him people like that, I mean males who are completely bald, he'll think it is cool. My brother is completely bald and so is my brother-in-law. Just a thought. But don't freak out just yet with the hair, it could just thin for right now.
